1. About maattaam

maattaam (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an online classifieds platform that allows users to post listings and connect with buyers/sellers. We do not own, price, store, or deliver the items listed, and we are not a party to any sale or purchase concluded between users.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using maattaam (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date.

4. Account & Security

You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your login credentials secure.

Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Platform Role (Intermediary)

We act as an online intermediary enabling user-to-user listings and communications.

We do not verify each listing/item, and we provide no warranties regarding description, quality, safety, legality, or seller/buyer identity.

You release us from claims arising from transactions between users.

6. Listings & User Content

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your listings and content (including images, text, price, and condition).

You must not post misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful content.

You grant maattaam a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate the Platform.

We may edit, moderate, downrank, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Prohibited Items/Activities (illustrative, not exhaustive)

Illegal items; stolen goods; weapons/ammunition; explosives; drugs/narcotics; alcohol/tobacco; adulterated/expired food; medical/prescription products; counterfeit currency/documents; endangered wildlife/parts; obscene content; human trafficking; personal data/IDs; hacking tools; malware/spyware; gambling services; pyramid/MLM schemes.

Misrepresentation, price gouging, spamming, scraping, reverse engineering, unauthorized data collection, or harassment.

Any item or activity restricted by applicable laws, government orders, or platform policy updates.

8. Communication Between Users

Use in-app chat/contacts responsibly. Do not share sensitive financial information.

Meet in public places, verify items/persons, and exercise caution.

We are not responsible for communications or outcomes between users.

9. Fees & Subscriptions

Listing and subscription plans, if any, are described on the pricing page.

Taxes (e.g., GST) may apply and will be shown at checkout.

Fees are subject to change prospectively with notice on the Platform.

10. Payment Processing

Payments for subscriptions are processed by third-party payment gateways.

You authorize us and our payment partners to charge your selected method for recurring subscriptions (if you opt in).

You must ensure your payment method remains valid and sufficiently funded.

11. Reporting & Takedown

You can report infringing or illegal content via the contact listed below.

12. Intellectual Property

All maattaam trademarks, logos, UI, and code are our property or licensed to us.

13. Third-Party Links/Services

We do not endorse or control third-party sites/services and are not liable for them.

14. Warranties & Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, maattaam shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of profit/data/goodwill.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify maattaam against claims arising from your use or breach.

17. Suspension/Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk/security reasons.

18. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use indicates acceptance.

19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Government of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
